Dr Who Radio Control Dalek Thay

Product Description

12 inch Radio Control Dalek Thay.

This 12" Radio Control Dalek Thay, with damaged casing from his sacrifice to his leader in "Daleks in Manhattan" has authentic 360 degree travel, flashing lights and speech. Automated head & eye movement with poseable gun and arm. Requires 4 x AA batteries and 1 x 9V battery. Styles may vary. For ages 5 years plus.

Dalek Thay was one of The Cult of Skaro, a group of 4 Daleks who have enhanced intelligence, and are able to think analytically for themselves. Their purpose was to think like an enemy would think, and to devise new Dalek strategies and tactics to defeat the Dalek enemies.

Unlike other Daleks, the Cult of Skaro all have individual names, and they are also identifiable by a unique marking on their casing.

Dalek Thay was third in command of the Cult of Skaro, and was the Dalek who sacrificed his panels to help in creating a new breed of Dalek in The Daleks of Manhattan. He was responsible for exterminating the Human Dalek Hybrid Sec, and was destroyed himself shortly after.

Dalek Thay was the Commandant of Station Alpha, the most secret Dalek research facility, before being promoted by the Dalek Emperor to the Cult of Skaro.

Reviews:

  • Lucy (6) - This is a good toy because the Dalek is easy to steer it and there aren't too many buttons to work.
  • Joshua (10) - This Dalek is just like the one on Doctor Who with flat bits on its back, so its really cool. Its a bit like the other radio control Dalek as well.
  • Mark (38+) - This is pretty much like the other remote control Daleks except that it has the missing panels as in the story in the last series. That makes it a bit different because its Dalek Thay instead of a.n.other Dalek, which the kids like, but apart from that it isn't really much different to the others. One cool thing is that if you get Daleks that operate with the same frequency controller, you can switch them all on and control the lot with one joystick. They all do the same moves at the same time, so you can line them up & have line dancing Daleks!
